Every year the Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) co-hosts Veterans Benefits Fairs across the state of Texas. In partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Texas Veterans Commission (TVC), VLB staff members travel around the state to talk with Texas veterans, military members and spouses, about their benefits in person.
The Texas Comptroller of Accounts states that as of August 2014, there are 213 Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses in Texas under the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Program. During this time of year, many organizations and state agencies are in the middle of their annual employee charitable campaigns.
No other state offers more benefits to her veterans than Texas, but many remain unaware of the vast resources and entitlements available exclusively for Texas veterans and active military.
The Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) will host one of the largest veteran expositions in the state Saturday, May 18, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on 111 E. Pecan Street in San Antonio.
