Five estate acreage community developers that sold land financed by VLB land loans, four Texas land brokers representing veteran land buyers who used the VLB’s land loan program, and five loan officers affiliated with VLB participating home loan lenders have been recognized as members of the VLB’s “Lone Star Circle of Real Estate Professionals” for 2013. We congratulate these VLB participating real estate professionals.
Community developers acquire and invest in land that is then divided and sold to individuals. The five residential community developers who sold the most land to Texas veterans are listed below. Each developer produced more than $500,000 in VLB land loans.

“We value the contributions of these land brokers, estate communities and participating lenders who helped Texas veterans find, finance and purchase a little piece of Texas on favorable terms through the VLB’s land and home loan programs,” said VLB Executive Secretary and Deputy Commissioner Bill McLemore.
The VLB has been making real estate loans to Texas veterans since 1949. Qualified Texas veterans may apply to borrow up to $100,000 for acreage anywhere in the state. The VLB offers home loans up to $417,000 through participating lenders and directly offers home improvement loans up to $25,000.
